Associated Press - By NAFEESA SYEED - Friday, June 18, 2010 - Police in the District of Columbia are seeking to improve communications with the city's large deaf and hard of hearing population through new software in police cruisers — a move believed to be among the first nationwide.
Every Saturday from 2-4 PM. All levels of ability welcome. We start out with fingerspelling and numbers, then basic vocabulary, then sentences, then stories, and wrap up with a 30 minute social in ASL.

The ASL social event at Starbucks in B&N bookstore in Valley has moved to the third Friday of every month so it will be next Friday the 20th from 6 to 8pm. Let me ( joyce.chan at ssa dot gov ) know if you are able to attend.
